Hooray! The Two shorts we produced this year at Blur, In The Rough and Gopher Broke, got short listed for the Oscar!!! It's not the actual nomination, but it's a great honor already!

I worked on In the Rough, mainly as animation and rigging supervisor, as well as animating a few shots myself and doing some storyboards.

It's awesome that we get to do these internal projects. I's very rewarding to see the final result, and most important, it's fun!

Someone probably noticed my weekly deep-inhuman-heroic effort to climb a steep hill near my house on my bike when I come back from work. Thanks! :)

I'll try not to be so lazy and use the bike more often from now on...

Finally! This site has seen some update! It wasn't much, only the links section, and it's still incomplete!

But the truth is, laziness was not the only delaying factor (although it WAS an important one...). In the last few months I've been working for Blur Studio on a direct-to-dvd release from Disney called "Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas", and that really sucked all my available hours. But it paid off, it looks pretty good for a direct-to-dvd (no comparison with feature film stuff, please). Needless to say, bringing those characters to 3d was quite a challenge, and we learned a lot in the process. It will be released by the end of the year, so no more comments until then.
